The most beautiful lake in the world

Como is one of the most beautiful Italian cities and it names its lake, which has always been considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, especially because of the surrounding mountains diving into the water. It is impossible not to fall in love with the verdant landscape and all the hidden glimpses the lake offers.

First kiss on a boat

Boat trips are highly recommended since they are a really enjoyable tourist activity, that allows to contemplate the lake from another perspective and to admire villas and shores that are little visible from the street.

Starting from Como it is possible to navigate the first basin, with the opportunity to stop in the wonderful small villages overlooking the lake (Cernobbio, Moltrasio, Torno, Blevio, etc.).


The greenway is a stroll that will lead you to the discovery of ancient villages, villas, gardens, baroque and romantic churches, immersed in the fascinating landscape of Lake Como.

The historic Via Regina, that stratches from Como to Sorico, is one of the most ancient trade and cultural routes   between Italy and the transalpine area.

Throughout the whole year many exhibitions, meetings, musical, theatrical, and sport events, guided visits and youth activities are held.

You will have the chance to dive into the reading thanks to Como’s Book Fair and to Parolario, to relive Como’s history thanks to Palio del Baradello and taste local dishes at Sant’Abbondio Fair, that takes place every year in conjuction with the Palio.


For the little ones, during the Christmas time, Como turns into Città dei Balocchi (Toyland), in which you will find several stalls, carousels and even an ice skating rink in the main square, everything immersed in a magical atmosphere.
